Greetings all,

Since I took over the administration of the WDF, thereby saving it from closure, I have personally paid the costs of registration and hosting. The costs involved are as follows:

Domain Name Registration: US$25-00 per year.

Website Hosting: US$30.00 per quarter.

My personal time and related internet connection costs.

As can be seen, the costs are not really big amounts, but they are noticeable by me in the way they affect my budget, as I am on a relatively small government pension.

What I am asking, is for some help in meeting these costs. I am not looking to make a profit, as any donations received will be noted and used for future payments. I will notify the members when enough funds are received so that no more need be sent until the next renewal period.

I will also list the amounts received and the member who made the payment (unless they wish to remain anonymous).

The easiest way to send your contributions is via PayPal. Simply send a few bucks via PayPal to the following e-mail address: agt@wetdreamforum.com or for total privacy, allanxzar@bigpond.com using this address makes no mention of the WDF.

I look forward the your assistance in the running costs of the WDF.

AGT, not everyone has a Paypal account, and most members may want to remain anonymous, preferring to keep their WDF name separate from the real name.

Are there alternatives that would keep member's anonymity? One way might simply be to send you some cash via regular mail, with no return address.

Hi Texanguy,

Thanks for the response.

I thought PayPal was relatively anonymous. All that is revealed to me (the recipient) is the email address. It's easy to add another totally anonymous email address to ones PayPal account.

The Problem with the regular mail, is that my anonymity would be lost - my name and postal address would be needed.

It seems to be a moot point in any event, as you are the only one to respond so far.

I have an old Paypal account that I can try to reactivate, but perhaps a lot of members don't have Paypal accounts at all. As you say, if the only identification is an email address, anonymity can be retained.

Maybe I can do it during the upcoming week and post instructions for others to make it easy for them.

Thanks for that, Texanguy. The point to bear in mind, is that it is not a huge amount of money involved. For example, three members donating only $5-00 covers half the yearly domain name registration costs. Or one well off member donating $30-00, covers the complete cost of the yearly domain name registration costs. ( in this case, it will cover the registration costs for two years as I will continue to contribute.)

Hosting fees are somewhat higher, but in a similar vein, five members donating only $5-00 covers about one third of the annual hosting costs.

Anyway, thanks once again. It will be interesting to see what happens to my request for help as regards the WDF

Yep, that is another way to help out, although the 4 donations already received via PayPal will go a long way in keeping the WDF going for the next year or so.
