I've been on allergy meds since mid July: 1 Allegra D during the day, 2 Benadryl at night.

No erections. No masturbation, no orgasms. After about 3 weeks or so the wet dreams started.

Plus, I can breathe easier!

So the logical question is did the medication just make it easier for you to AB so that you could get the WDs, or did the medication actually increase your WDs over what would normally happen if you had ABd for three weeks without the medication?

Also, with little or no waking arousal, how did the WDs feel compared to non-medicated WDs?

I'm with Texanguy. It would be good to isolate correlation from causality.

I don't know anything about Allegra, but it would make sense that taking Benadryl before bed would keep you from masturbating that night. Benadryl causes drowsiness (it's the active ingredient in most of the OTC sleep remedies) and even if you don't go to sleep right away, you would probably be groggy enough that you couldn't get an erection even if you wanted one. Benadryl also causes an awful morning hangover so you're less likely to wake up erect, and even if you do, you won't feel like masturbating. I took Benadryl as an occasional sleep aid for many years but haven't done so in eons.

I can understand how someone who doesn't masturbate during the day and then took Benadryl at bedtime could start having wet dreams. The $64 question is whether a guy who took Benadryl every night could resist the temptation to masturbate in the evening before taking the Benadryl.

My opinion is that the meds make it easier to abstain, thus decreasing the urge to masturbate and increasing the chances of enough build up to get a wet dream. The psuedoephedrine makes it difficult to get an erection and really helps to abstain from masturbation for those who have woodies that poke up from nowhere and beg for attention. However, its tough to sleep with pusedoephedrine at night, so the benadryl makes erections difficult at night, yet lets one sleep.

I take one Allegra D per day. It contains 60 mg of fexofenadine hydrochoride which is quick release, and 120 mg of pseudoepedrine hydrochoride slow release [over 12 hour period]. Then, for nightime I take a standard does of benadryl 1 to 2 tablets.

Do not exceed the as directed doseage.

Keep in mind that I live in Canada and thus the availability, ingredients etc. may be different in the USA. Also, both meds are available in the pharmacy aisles here, but might be behind the counter in the USA or just not available.

Some other cautions - the pseudoephedrine will mess somewhat with your prostate - it creates an interesting sensation which you may like or not like. Also, if you have tendencies toward prostate enlargement, it may make it difficult to pee. Please read the warnings on the package and or research such cautions on the web. Also, for those with heart problems, you may wish to avoid or seek counsel from a doctor.
