With close friends do you discuss your masturbation habits and your abstinence efforts?

I am fairly open with a couple of friends about masturbation and porn use, but I haven't told anyone that I try to AB to get a wet dream. Maybe because I only AB from time to time.

Outside the WD Forum are you able to share this with anyone?

Interesting question. Short answer: no. Never felt comfortable having that discussion prior to finding this forum, so I'm glad this exists!

i have one friend that im very close to since i was 9 years old and i can talk to him about anything. not only does he know about my MB & AB but he joined this forum and ABed with me for awhile. my gf knows about MB and AB habits to, but i dont tell her everything. some things are just for guys haha.

I do have a few close friends that I discuss concerns about AB, WDs, MB, etc with. But they are friends that I'm definitely very close with and feel very comfortable talking about almost anything with anyhow. Some of them believe the same as me in regards to sexual conduct (i.e. sex, porn, MB, AB), some believe differently, but I think it's very important and healthy to have those types of relationships in person. Some friends who I've met on WDF I've become quite close with outside of WDF as well. For me, anonymity has it's place, it certainly does facilitate openness to a certain extent, but there's something about true authenticity with other people that just can't be replaced by online relationships.

People seem to assume that everyone masturbates and if you don't you'll have to justify it to them. The people I hang out with all think that not masturbating is based only on religious nuttiness and can't possibly be for any other reason. So, no, I don't feel like opening that can of worms.

I used to talk to friends about it a lot more when I was younger, however most of them have gotten married and it's not exactly a topic of discussion now. Looking forward to reconnecting with people on here, I haven't been on in a couple of years and need the support.

I have had my current roommate for about 4 years now. We both know we mb and of course we have talked about it a couple of times. We don't discuss it much and it usually is awkward.
