I am wondering how many people have sexual dreams that lead to a WD?
Sometimes on the forum people are looking for sexual dreams as a sign that a WD is on its way. But often its not the case.
The medical term for WD is Nocturnal Emission.

So in my experience regular WD's are more a function of the body than a function of a dream. I'm sure that sometimes a very sexual dream (or Lucid dreaming) can lead to a WD, but it is primarily a physical function.
Therefore the physical experience will often break into an existing dream, causing the dream to change or become sexual because you are feeling excited by what's going on physically while you sleep.
Often I am having a normal dream and then suddenly I have an erection in the dream or suddenly find myself naked in the dream.
This also explains why a WD can seem to have no actual dream associated with it.

These are just my musings! Any thoughts???

I think that is a good way to think about it.....though I have had some "wet dreams" waking up soon after with no dream connected to it I have had PLENTY more where I had a dream in which I was ejaculating....

so yes I think the term wet dream sounds better....

but to each their own.....I think the reason the term started is because when you say wet dream it sounds better than nocturnal emission.....its easier to say wet dream....when you say wet dream people know INSTANTLY what you're talking about...but nocturnal emission not so much....

but I think both terms should be used in tandem....together in a way too...you cant have one without the other....most of the time you cant at least....

If you've had a wet dream before, when did it occur after falling asleep?: N/A - Had a wet dream, but never woke up to see the time.
Date that you last had an ejaculation: 25 Aug 2014

sometimes i may have regular dreams but my 2nd pillow was between my thighs which made me rub against it and wake up wet from the rubbing.
not sure if that is possible for a guy too but maybe it could happen when guys are asleep and their penis erection is moving against the bed?
