Hi guys, I'm back after like two years. I've got some questions that have been floating in my head.

I'm now 20 years old, turning 21 soon. Two years ago, my MB/AB habits were very extreme - I would go on extremely long AB streaks (couple of months or even more) and get a couple of wet dreams before breaking them, but immediately after breaking an AB streak, I would go on to MB every day, for as long as, or even longer than the AB streaks. It might seem strange to say this, but this habit actually makes me oblivious to the effects of MB/AB. Or, to be more exact, it makes me more oblivious to the *immediate* physiological effects of MB/AB - I noticed changes in my body, but not before I was already deep in my AB/MB 'streaks'. As a result of this, I thought the effects of AB/MB were more long-term.

Recently though, I've been going on a more 'regulated' routine: AB for a couple days, like 4-5 days, and then MB just once or twice, then continue AB-ing. I noticed, from my earlier experiences, that consistent MB tends to drain your energy, and I needed to take 2-3 hour naps right after reaching home everyday before my brain could function. So, I thought, as long as I only MB once or twice a week, it shouldn't affect my livelihood a lot.

Why not stop MB-ing altogether, you ask?

Well, it's not that I'm addicted to the point of not being able to stop altogether. As mentioned above, I was indeed able to on AB streaks that lasted for months. In fact, I think I can go on pretty fine and proper without MB-ing, and external stimulations like photos of bikini-wearing models that appear randomly on my Facebook timeline don't really cause me to experience a rush of lust so bad that I have to go back and wank immediately. It was exactly because I was able to have wet dreams and hold on to long AB streaks (I owe a lot of this to my participation in this forum, actually, even after I stopped being active) that I knew I was in control of my sexual urges.

And then came a fear. What if, since I stop MB-ing for a long period of time, my sexual urge dies out? In other words...erectile dysfunction. I know, it's way too early for me to be worried about this sorta stuff, but it *is* a fear. And, exactly because I was in control of my sexual urges, I endeavoured to do something: MB for the sake of keeping my sexual urges alive. I'm not exactly spectacular in the looks department (ok, I'm an uggo), and my charm level is nowhere near that of pickup artists, so I ended up resorting to MB-ing to keep my sexual urges alive. In fact, wouldn't it be a douchebag thing, to charm a girl just to keep your sexual urges alive? (I'm Asian in an Asian country. People don't have casual sex with you unless you're charming and/or good-looking, especially before your 30s.)

That brings us to the current day. However, I've noticed something peculiar: contrary to my previous prediction, MB-ing sparsely does *absolutely nothing* to prevent energy drains. The days after MB-ing still were days where I could not function at all - I was in this continuous state of grogginess that lasted for as long as 24 hours after MB-ing, where I could not concentrate on things at all, especially social interactions. If this is true, I might as well not MB at all, since it is quite harmful to my lifestyle.

TL;DR there are some questions that I would like to know the answers to, in order of pertinence to me:
1) Is it true that, if you go for long periods without sex (and MB), your sexual urges will die out?
- i.e. is it bad to AB for long?
2) Does MB really drain your energy that 'efficiently'? I know it seems pretty clear-cut from what I wrote above, but I just wanna confirm to see if it's because of anything else, like sleeping & eating habits, for example.
- i.e. is it bad to MB, even sparsely?

I know a significant portion of this post is about my MB/AB routines, rather than asking questions about MB/AB, but I prefer to give as clear a context as possible to my questions. The main reason for me to write this post is still that I want to dispel these doubts about MB/AB, and not to write an article for my WD diary (though I'll link my WD diary to this post after posting!). I never AB'd for too long, so maybe not the best to answer one of your questions. No I dont think lengthy AB periods actually decrease your sexual urges - they are probably still there but just not so important.

I have consistantly MB'd since my pre teens ( and during sexually active marriage) right through to my mid sixties (today) and not found my MB sessions to have any real effect on my energy levels. Yes, the endorphines released during sexual activity, did make me sleepy immediatley after sex/MB, but after a good nights sleep I was always bright-eyed and bushy-tailed the following morning. ( had to have a cup of coffee first though. Never was fully awake untill after the first cup.)

Bonus:
Always groom yourself well and always be polite and considerate. It seemed to work for me anyway.

I can only speak to my own personal experience and I'll say MB/ABing and the effects are going to be different for everybody.

Here's what I wish I knew at 21 though -- you can learn to control your urges instead of them controlling you. Of course that takes some serious effort, but it is achievable. My periods of ABing haven't diminished my sex drive, but they have made it easier for me to keep the urges in check. Every time I resist the urge, I prove to myself that I don't *have* to MB every time I might want to.

For me, there's no energy drain when MBing regularly. I do have kind of a horny buzz when ABing sometimes, but I wouldn't consider that giving me any more or less energy. When I'm ABing I tend to have days when I can't sleep because I wake up in the middle of the night horny. MBing is a sure fire cure for that, of course.

For me, MBing in moderation isn't a bad thing at all. Now MBing combined with porn use is a whole other matter. Again, that's an individual choice for all of us to make.

I don't know about more good looking, but I promise you that women appreciate a man who is in control of himself sexually. And that's always a good thing!
