Reading up on people logs and such has made me worry slightly because it seems that its quite difficult for people to abstain. Except in my case. I don't feel such a rampant urge to jerk it when I've been abstaining and I don't seem to be waking up with raging erections and per cum all over my underwear. I have been abstaining only for less than a week, but before this I have gone as much as a month and a half with the same result. I feel as though my body will never achieve a wet dream because it doesn't care about release. Is anybody else like this that could give me hope or at leastsome advice?

We all have different hormone levels and also different sexual patterns in our lives. A lot of guys here are trying to break a porn or MB addiction and we-wire their brains in a healthy way.
Also most people who have had a WD would consider it to be a superior experience to MB.
There are many reasons why we have WD's and it's not all about feeling super randy!
What age did you start to MB? If your body is used to finding release through MB, then it needs time to have a WD and after the first one, you will probably have them on a more regular basis.
I can AB easily without much struggle and have regular WD's and I am old!

I know what you mean dacianthethird. I've found ABing pretty easy too, and in fact, there are some parts of it that I quite like. I also wonder if it matters - will the body ever revert to WDs?

That depends on how long the lack of sexual drive lasts, I am new and trying to AB to get a WD.
For me the first 4 days are easy then next are slightly more harder, but by the end of the week
it's Very hard, once I am past that mark the easier it gets. If I am busy doing stuff it's easier, if
I'm bored the temptation is there and harder to resist.

All I can say is that everyone is different my sexual drive seems sporadic, one day I'm fine the
next I could be blue balling and having to get up and walk around to get the thoughts out of my
head.

I say just keep with it and as long as you have a normal hormone level, you should be able to get
a wet dream. Keep at it day 10 for me never had a wet dream. Also if you start having sexual
dreams with out the wet part then that will inspire you more, I didn't start having sexual dreams
until a week of AB and rarely had sexual dreams when I was masturbating.

I have noticed that a lot of people who started to MB at a very young age (10 or younger) don't get a WD - unless they AB for a good amount of time. It's just an observation, not in any way scientific!

I think that WDs have more to do with sperm build up than libido. I am in my late 30's and still have WD's (4 in last 2 months) and I am certainly not as randy as I was in my teens!
