Hey guys,

I have abstained before and managed to ejaculate from either a wet dream or mentally masturbating (hands free). I found it took a couple of weeks for either.

Granted , I am older now (27) and I am also on a low dose of Citalopram (20mg). This may be increased if it isn't effective.

Since being on the ssri , as I have been before, I have experienced a lowered sex drive. This has mAde abstaining for over a month quite easy. That said, I have tried mental masturbation and I can only get so close .. I have tried mb and I can get close and would orgasm. I have , in the past month also had a few attempts from others to get me off to no Avail. I am wondering if anyone else here has been abstaining on such medication and whether it made having a wet dream difficult.

It could be that I haven't properly abstained and should leave my penis alone and not allow any playing with it.

My dreams haven't been very sexual in nature either so I don't think my brain is trying very hard.

The one thing which is driving me insane is having a seriously sensitive penis when hard that feels as though it wants to ejaculate but nothing happens -- even when it soasms from the intense pleasure it creates against my underwear or sheets. It feels like this as I type this and it just makes me want to grab it and masturbate. :-/ I don't care if I cum in my boxers from being turned on but it just doesn't seem to be possible which only adds to the frustration.

Be keen to hear from any other guys who have had similar experiences or are taking an ssri or had done who found the same.

Hi there

I have been on ssri's for a few months now. Never really had any problems with sex drive just the same as it was before i started taking them to be honest. On my first a day of an ab so ill let you know if any thing changes and have any thing like yourself.

I managed to cum hands free the other evening but I have notice it takes me a few days to get horny again. I didn't really have an orgasm with the ejaculation but the build up was better than one tbh.

I think part of feeling horny depends on how regularly you masturbate. I found when I was doing more frequently , I needed to get off more often or got erections more frequently. Since abstaining, I have noticed I don't get hard so often or the urge to masturbate. I did before I came the other day as it was getting pretty distracting as it was super sensitive.

SSRIs are known to have the side effects that you mentioned. Perhaps they may lessen with time, but ideally the medication is only temporary.

This is right: the ssri is only a temporary course. It may continue for a while yet, though.

I have actually lost all desire to masturbate and erections don't seem particularly frequent right now.

I may try some herbal supplements to see whether they have an effect.

Hey,

Managed to have a wet dream after thinking I was going to have a hands-free episode last night.

Again, I didn't feel any real orgasm so I am a little tempted to masturbate to see if that gives me an orgasm or not.

Still feeling pretty sensitive and horny which isn't unusual after a wd. It was quite messy and I didn't feel as though I was peeling in the dream. Perhaps I was too aware of what was happening and attempted , subconsciously , to suppress the orgasm.

How do you ejaculate hands free, please help

I take Lexapro.
My sexual desire diminished and my wet dreams too
So my doctor prescribed bupropion along with lexapro, and this improved a bit.

SSRIs screw with my libido subtly but seriously. Usually it's super easy for me to get aroused, but super hard to actually get off. One time I think I masturbated for four hours straight without relief, and I wasn't deliberately edging.

It's been quite some time since I last posted on this forum, but I have been off SSRIs for quite a while now. The last time I was on them was over a year ago.

I actually found coming off them to be a bit of an issue as I couldn't last very long at all.

On the hands free side of things, I have done that numerous times since. I've even used a delay spray to numb my penis entirely and STILL managed to ejaculate hands free. In fact, I found it easier as the sensations were entirely in my head. The orgasm wasn't very satisfying and a numb penis seriously dulls the pleasure of orgasm to the point that it is hardly there at all.

Not had many WDs since I was last on here, though. Currently unintentionally abstaining and it's been around two weeks.
