Would you be willing to MB at a sperm bank for any reason?

I was just wondering. There are many reasons for contributing to a sperm bank. Some people do it for financial reasons while others do it for the fun of it. Others deposit their semen there for storage purposes just in case they develop testicular, penile or prostate cancer and cannot function (as optimally) as they used to.

I chose "Maybe" because of the storage facility it provides. I don't want my sperm to impregnate some other woman other than my wife.

There was this current affairs show on TV here this week about a guy who is still a "virgin" but has fathered 16 children!! I think he was from USA but not sure.

Now thats just crazy!!

For me Im not sure i could do it unless it was for medical reasons etc. But thats me.

I say no, if someone cannot have children, that is unfortunate, but there is always adoption and other things to comit your life to. Plus someone who "shoots blanks" has the up side of not having to worry about getting his partner pregnant while enjoying their sex life.

Eleazar, this question is poorly written. There are basically two reasons males use sperm banks:

1) donate to a pool of donor semen, similar to donating blood
2) store their own semen for future use if needed

By using "donation" in the question, you are asking about the first type. From the discussion, you seem to be asking "Would you be willing to masturbate at a sperm bank for any reason?"

I would do this however with the steps and medical processes involved I think you are expected to ejaculate at least 5 times for screening before you even get to donate any actual sperm in the UK and that is even if you are accepted for donations in the first place.
