Well, rather than preaching against MB like Kellogg, this seems to be the sensible approach, if you are faced with a teenager who has questions.
Keep a journal for two months.
For one month, don't masturbate at all.
Record, (EVERY DAY!) thoughts, feelings, dreams, etc, and how schoolwork and friendships and spiritual life are going.
Second month, MB whenever you feel like it, and write about the same things.
Label all the pages in advance, so you have 60 dates on top of 60 pages, equal space for everything.
At the end of the two months, re-read everything, and make your decisions about what effect MB/AB has on you based ON YOUR OWN EVIDENCE.
After all, if the experiment is yours and the evidence is yours, you can't really argue with it, can you?
