Well we wont judge you but obviously you do need to be ASLEEP to have a wet dream, so being up in the middle of the night wont help you on that.
But there does seem to be enough experience to show that you need a good nights sleep to get wet dreams. Maybe just because you are healthier when you get the right amount of sleep, or because when you sleep longer you get to enter certain phases of sleep and dreaming that allow wet dreams. Or maybe just sleeping longer increases chances because there is more time asleep for one to happen. Who knows? It could by any or all of these reasons.
Also, at least in my experience wet dreams seem to happen in the morning before I wake up especially on days I can sleep later than usual. So for me there is proof. I mean, if your alarm wakes you up at 7 who knows if you would have gotten a wet dream if you just slept 5 more minutes?
Another reason I think is hormone levels which are highest close to morning. That is also when you have the longest span of dream sleep where dreams are longer and more vivid, just right for a wet dream, and of course because of the hormones and dream sleep you probably have a morning erection which means your penis is already armed and ready for a wet dream to fire it off.
So my advice is: get more sleep! Even if you dont get a wet dream you will feel better, be healthier and be able to concentrate more.
