I find wearing a jock strap inhibits erections. Has anyone else tried it? For how long?

Isn't wearing a jock essentially like wearing a tight pair of briefs? What's the difference? I know I might be the only guy on the planet who has never worn a jock. Well I'm probably not going to be getting one now, can't imagine ever playing a sport that would need one, and this can't afford the expense.

totally disagree .. wearing a jock strap gives me continuous erections which want to escape ... the tight feeling keeps me semi hard most of the time ... it's the reason I often wear tight briefs even to office. Love the snug fit.

i found that wearing a cup keeps my erections down but as soon as i take it off i had erectons (not alll the time)

Disagree too. Jockstrap sometimes makes my semi hard.

I've worn jock straps on various occasions, both for sport and leisure. I have actually found that they are poor at inhibiting erections. The pouch material tends to be quite stretchy in my experience - to the point where I could be fully erect and pointing completely horizontal with the jock still on (with a 7 inch cock). This holds for 3 different jock straps that I've had. I also find jocks to be rather arousing in themselves, which is usually the opposite of what I hope for in underwear.

I am noticing that a lot of guys find them arousing. Thank goodness I'm not alone

I wear a Jock strap for sports. I have found that I have only had 1 erection while wearing my jock. Only reason was cause a girls was on top of me lol. But other than that I have never had a problem getting an erection from wearing my jocks.

I have tried sleeping with a jock strap and a cup to avoid erections but it just seemed to make them worse. I have not found anything that stops my sleep erections but I have found that wearing tight spandex shorts (with no underwear) during the day tends to make it harder for me to get an erection - even while looking at porn.

Why would you want to stop your sleeping erections? They are a natural function of your body to ensure the function and healthy tissues there.

The nighttime erections were making it hard for me to AB but I realized that, as you said, they were good for my penis' health so I gave up on trying to control them. It only made AB harder, not easier, anyway.

Has anybody tried a dance belt? It is similar to a jock strap but only has a thong connecting the bottom of the cup to the back of the elastic waistband instead of 2 with a jockstrap. I love the feel of the thong against my sphincter and the tightness of the front firmly cupping my balls apart at the base of the shaft and pressing my penis up against the abdomen. I've tried wearing a jockstrap once before, and it only made me hard. So hard, actually, that the erection wouldn't go away until I masturbated. Not a good abstinence strategy for me, it seems.

Depends on what materials of jockstraps you wearing.I normally get erections sometimes while working out and going out. Try to wear breathable jockstraps.
