Hey guys - hope you're doing well today!

I just had a general question for those guys that sleep nude - do you have any suggestions on getting through the night, "safely" without MB?

I'm a bit embarrassed, but I've tried to sleep naked 8 times before - it feels so nice and comfortable that I'd sleep nude all the time if I could! Thing is, I fall asleep and then wake up about an hour later with several different wet spots (I toss and turn a lot), and of course, an erection that won't go down. Add in some more toss and turning while trying to get to sleep, and sure enough, something provides too much stimulation (sheets, mattress, etc...) and then there's a big release. (poor sheets!) Afterwards, I have to put the undies on or else I'll be awake all night.

What do you guys think? Has anyone else ever tried to sleep nude, but can't? For those that can sleep naked, is this just a "phase" in getting used to the additional freedom and comfort, or do you have any other suggestions to get through the night, safely? (I'm on day 19.)

Interesting enough I have a similar problem and have to end up wearing my underclothing in the end.

I prefer to sleep nude but there are many times I find it too erotic just like the others who posted. It can be enough to keep me awake with erotic dreams. I don't find it to be a factor in having a wet dream though. I have had wet dreams both nude and with shorts on. Once I wished I had my shorts on when I had a wet dream!

Jet--what do you normally sleep in? If underwear, what type? If you don't already, try just wearing boxer shorts (not boxer briefs, regular, loose boxers); they will give you the comfy room and "freedom" that you are seeking, but provide a little bit of a barrier and psychologically I think make it easier to not mb since you aren't totally naked. Give it a shot!

I think it's a matter of getting used to it. If you end up having a 'big release' as you described, just sleep nude after that anyway. The best way to adapt to sleeping nude is to keep doing it night after night, even if you lose some sleep. Eventually, you'll sleep all night because a) you will need the sleep, and b) you are getting used to it.

I think you're just turned on by the idea of sleeping nude. I've been sleeping in the nude since I was a child and I can't remember once where turning around in bed caused me to have an ejaculation. I've woken up with erections plenty of times before, but that's normal for a healthy, red-blooded male.

I found I got horny too when I first started wanting to sleep nude... but I think you just have to keep doing it and eventually you get accustomed to it and it doesn't make you as horny. I sleep nude all the time and even find it uncomfortable to wear clothes.

You don't like to wear clothes? I'm just curious. At all or just in bed?

I cant sleep if i have anything on. i sleep nude every night since i was like 5 or 6. i doesnt stop me from having wet dreams

Hm, well in the past I never slept nude and when I did it was very rare... since moving out of my parents I now sleep nude almost every night now. I don't have issues with stimulation since I keep my glans covered.

You are very lucky to have understanding parents who don't mind your wet dreams or masturbating. My parents were divorced and I lived with my mother. When she discovered that I had semen on my sheets the first time she was very angry and lectured me. The next time she got mad and made me wash my sheets right then and called me in from being outside with friends and embarrassed me so much. She would also punish me for masturbating.

Yes, parents shouldn't get madif a son stains the sheets from something as natural as a wet dream. They should just let them know that they're available to talk about it if they want.

I think what you say is true, if you forget about it and sleep it will not affect you. I've tried to sleep commando and have the same problems as the guy who started this topic. Can't sleep because of the boners and stimulation.

I almost always sleep naked but somtimes I will put on this big pair of boxers i have.in the winter i have pjs i wear but i have trouble getting off to sleep wityh them on.

I usualy wear boxerbreifs or briefs in bed, or I wear a pair of joggers - But I have also started sleeping nude as well, not every night but some, I recomend that you put the cover between your legs and up tight against your penis. As you fall asleep it will be tight against you and not loose rubbing around, then throught the night it my just become loose but by then you should be in a deep sleep. I hope this helps you

I've usually always slept in underwear, briefs when i was younger and boxer-briefs when i got older, every once and a while i would pull my underwear down to see how it would feel to be naked but i always got an erection and pulled my underwear back up. Then a little over a year ago i was staying at a friends place and i thought i would sleep naked, so i got naked and got an erection first thing but i decided that i would stay naked, eventually i fell asleep and when i woke up i felt that i got a good nights sleep. Gradually i started sleeping naked more often, at first i would always get an erection as soon as i got naked, but i got used to it and now i sleep naked about half the time and i rarely ever get erections by sleeping naked. Its normal to get erections when you first start sleeping naked but after a while you get used to it and the erections go away. So i say sleep naked because it just feels better and it helps you stay cool when its hot.

I always have slept in underwear of some sort until about the last year. That's when i started to go nude. It feels so good to be nude at night while sleeping sometimes a get a wet dream while sleeping nude.

ive just started AB and trying to sleep nude. i end up just having to put my boxers on to get to sleep. since the weekend is coming up (no pun intended) i think im going to try sleeping nude and adapt, even if it means losing some sleep

i had to wait til i moved out to sleep nude. my mom freaked the first time she walked in on me naked when i was 15. now i do it all the time and it's the best.

In a topic a while back, we found that many abstainers from MB who enjoy the t-buzz and sleeping nude also don't mind being nude when they can be at other times, such as reading a book or doing homework. Does that apply to you as well?

I am trying to switch to sleeping nude because I love the comfort and freedom but I averaged only three to four hours of sleep the first three nights. Yesterday I took a tylenol pm instead of the melatonin I used the previous nights. I'm not sure if it was that, complete exhaustion, or my body starting to adapt but I slept six great hours, got up to pee and got another two and a half hours. Just wondering how long its taking you or anyone else. I'm really hoping I'm adapting and that last night wasn't just a result of exhaustion.

On the bright side, as I was settling back in after going to pee the sheets hit my dick just right and I thought I would pass out! I don't remember ever feeling such a rush. As many guys have pointed out, when you MB the feelings are localized but when you AB your whole body gets involved! Surprisingly, I wasn't even tempted to MB at the time, just lay there in shock and bliss until I got my breath back.

Yes, i think you find that if you sleep nude for long enough, then, like me, there's nothing erotic about it. It's like not wearing clothes in your house in evening. Seems erotic at first, but do it long enough, and then its just normal. I recommend not wearing clothes, especially when you get used to it. As another poster put it, I really don't like the feeling of clothes. So, eventually sleeping nude will not make you horny or cum or anything, just sleep as normal. However, I do like it better, as clothes are tight and restrictive. Its only our society that makes not wearing clothes or nudity erotic. Ultimately there is nothing erotic about it. But it may take you some time to reach that point with your nudity. My wife wears clothes around the house (but nude to bed) but I never do, unless I'm leaving the house. For me its as normal as her wearing clothes. When I have clothes on my wife asks me what's up, where are you going? When I put pants on my dogs start barking because they know something's going to happen.
