I wasnt going to say anything about this until I was able to do it and I was worried that somebody else would do it before me but it looks like I did it first. I dont know how many other of you were trying.

I tried so many times to get it on video and the only way I knew how was my laptop webcam. But there were so many problems. In case you ever want to try it, here are the problems:

1. Room must be bright enough to see what is happening but not too bright to keep you awake.
2. You need enough computer memory to save the file.
3. You must be lying in the right position to see what is happening, and be uncovered in just the right way (but not TOO uncovered).
4. A wet dream must actually happen.

To get all of these things to work is impossible. First it was too dark to see. Then it was too bright to sleep. Then I kept rolling out of position or grabbing the sheets to cover me while I was sleeping. But what happened most of the time was the computer would crash or run out of memory. I would have to delete the file every morning to start again but whatever video I got was a couple hours with nothing happening. It even took over an hour for the computer to process the video data but after the first couple times I just deleted right away when I knew nothing happened anyway. How would I even get such a huge file uploaded anyway? I even tried starting the video in the middle of the night. Most of the time there was no wet dream but a few times when one happened I woke up and the computer had froze or stopped recording way before that. And more than once when I gave up and took a break from trying then a wet dream happened! Why was this so hard?

So then I decided to try something different using a camera. Someone showed me how to do time lapse videos using a camera where you can time the camera to take many pictures at regular intervals and then put them into a movie to speed it up. Well I never figured out how to turn the pictures into a video but I thought if you saw them side by side you could see how it happened. I started with intervals too long and then came up with 30 seconds apart. I know a whole wet dream can happen in that time but it was the best I could do without running out of file space on the card. I also had to experiment with how bright the room had to be to see what happened and not keep me awake. Finally I decided to try closer to morning when it started getting bright naturally. Since I get a lot of wet dreams near morning anyway I decided this was the best time to catch one and see it with some light. So no flash to wake me up, but that nasty shutter! Oh but you can lock it up on this camera so it can take quiet pictures.

Finally it happened during spring break when I had the house to myself to do this right. It was about a week since my last wet dream and I woke up around 7:00 and went to pee. When I went back to bed I set up the camera and fell asleep since I was used to that now. And luckily it happened and can be seen in the last 15 pictures. So it took about 7 minutes from when it looked like I started to get an erection to the wet dream and even that took a few minutes. I guess you have to zoom in to see but it looks like the precum phase starts over halfway through. I had to brighten all the photos because they looked very dark on the computer. The last picture is what the underwear looked like after I took them off and as you can see it is a lot like my other wet dreams.

The dream itself was very different. I dont remember the main plot but I was walking around someplace doing something with this kid a few years younger than me. I don't remember what we were talking about or doing but for some reason he was only wearing briefs and a tee shirt kind of like I how I was. He had an erection poking outward but he did not seem to notice. I noticed a little wet spot and I told him "you are having a wet dream." He didn't know what I was talking about. He looking inside his briefs but then put it back and then completely ignored it. After more hiking around or whatever I noticed the spot was much bigger now and I said "see, the wet spot is bigger, you are having a wet dream for real!" When he saw the spot this time he got pretty worried that somebody would find out so I asked where his pants were and why he wasnt wearing them. He said he forgot and started crying so I gave him a hug. The hug lasted a while completely still until it went from me trying to comfort him to it just having a nice overall feeling, except for this kind of faint sweet underarm smell that I became aware of. I tried not to move or say anything because he still had an erection which I could feel against me and I was worried I would get wet too, but slowly it was like he wasnt there at all and that the erection I felt was my own. Somehow I realized that the boy was supposed to be a younger me even though he didnt look like me. But he was gone now but I still had the comfy feeling and was in bed when felt myself slowly peeing and ending with the usual feelings of strong slow pulsations before I woke up. I know the dream was weird but it seemed like I was seeing the kid have a wet dream the way I was trying to get the camera to see mine. I guess.

Anyway I was so happy that it finally worked that I looked at the results and had the time to edit them into one picture to share with you. Well, here it is:

The total time was about 8 minutes (16 pictures * 30 seconds = 480 seconds).
The actual ejaculation took about 2.5 minutes, very nice!

As far as I know, there is some sophisticated video recording device, that automatically begins recording
as soon as it detects some change in the picture, or movement (Erection, your case). You should look into this sort of stuff.

Thanks everyone. This took so much time. I mean dozens of nights and hundreds of hours trying. Since most of my dreams are similar and the stains are similar I can guess that seeing them happen is the same every time too so now that I got it I probably wont be trying to do it again at least for a while. I dont even know if it was worth it after going through all that. I mean I kind of figured that the penis got erect and I already knew what that looked like and so add to that some wetness and thats about it. Not sure what else I was hoping for. I guess it was one of those things where you set a challenge like climbing a mountain and once you finally get there you think Now What? and climb down again. One part was just to have the accomplishment of capturing the impossible, or never before attempted! But aside from that, it was hopefully supposed to answer questions like this (which the simple stain or dream experience alone could not do):

1. Do you move or make sound during a wet dream?
2. Are you fully or partly erect during a wet dream, and if so, how long before orgasm?
3. Does the orgasm really last longer in a wet dream than when awake?
4. In my case, is there a long period of precum before ejaculation?
5. (Not in my case, since I had underwear on) does the semen ooze or shoot out during a wet dream?
6. How long do you stay asleep after the wet dream, compared to how long it seems?

If those questions arent interesting to you then I dont know what to say but it seems at least several other people found it helpful or appreciated it in some way and hopefully I inspired and motivated them to do the same thing.

Just a theory, but depending on how tightly one's erection is positioned against his underwear, I'd imagine that a spurt of semen might actually end up on the outside of the underwear. So perhaps WD orgasms aren't as powerful, or the semen does just leak out.

Hey this has taken a couple years for me to finally do it and since nobody else has done it or most havent even tried then you just need a little patience while we figure out how to get this thing loaded.

How much does the file weigh?

Okay here it is. Thanks to focus for his help converting it. If it is too big he can take it down and put up a smaller version. I also have a single photo of the briefs to attach. Okay never mind, this is my 3rd edit. I got the first one to play. Just takes a while.

I forgot to mention that I was laying on my side for this one which is very unusual since I am normally on my back or stomach when it happens. But luckily it makes it easy to see which was a weird experience for me. I think the first time you see wetness it is precum because there is so much time until the rest happens. It seems to pulsate a lot which I do feel happening in the dreams but it feels sometimes like a flow of pee coming out or else a surge in my erection getting bigger. Still hard to say if the events and timing actually matched what happened in my dream. But I guess it is the same for people who wet the bed. I mean they might be dreaming of swimming in the ocean but in reality they are just lying there peeing in their beds. Not sure what it all means but there it is bravely put out there. At least now you can see why I usually wear boxers OVER by briefs when I go to bed to keep that off my sheets (when it happens on my stomach) and why I stopped going to camp because I was afraid that would happen near somebody or they would see it somehow.

First off I want to thank Jamie for all of his hard work in capturing this amazing video. I'm pretty sure this is the first time in the world a wet dream was captured on video actually happening, so this is truly an incredible video.


This video provides some excellent insight into what actually happens during a WD, and is a fantastic learning experience.

Some observations I noticed:

- There appears to be a small precum wet spot right from the start of the video, that looks kind of like a dark wet slit where the tip of the penis is. I'm pretty sure that is precum.

- The large wet spot that appears starting at 1:30, but before the main ejaculation I think is regular semen, and not precum. The reason I say this is because the fluid soaks into the fabric very rapidly, and spreads rapidly. Precum is much thicker and stickier, and doesn't soak through underwear as fast as that did. I think this was an initial ejaculation without an orgasm, as there was no contraction when it came out. It's possible that maybe it was only one component of semen that released there, such as just seminal vesicle fluid, or only prostate fluid, and not both. Probably prostate fluid because it is thinner and doesn't have the coagulants that the seminal vesicle fluid has. This kind of release of seminal fluid without any contractions sometimes happens in a SE.

- There is ANOTHER release of regular semen without a contraction just like the one above that happens at 2:46, which is amazing because it happens over a minute and 15 seconds AFTER the initial release of semen. This seems to confirm that a WD doesn't happen quickly and not all at once. There are several sub-events leading up to the main WD ejaculation. This I never knew before seeing this video. I don't know if this happens with every WD, but it is very interesting nonetheless.

- There seems to be several more smaller releases of semen from 3:10 to 3:26, some accompanied by prolonged contractions, but still before the main ejaculation, which starts at 3:26.

- The main ejaculation looks to start at 3:26, with large amounts of semen visibly flowing right through the underwear fabric. I counted an amazing 15 contractions and 15 spurts of ejaculate during the main ejaculation event, which mostly ended by 4:00. This was visibly a very large amount of semen, far more than the average man's ejaculation volume which is approximately 3 mls. I would estimate this was on the order of 8-10 mls.

- The duration of the main ejaculation, 34 seconds, was more than TRIPLE the length of the average waking orgasm, which is 10 seconds. So this confirms that the sensation that myself and many others have reported of WD orgasms and contractions seeming to happen in slow motion in the dream, and the orgasm seems to happen much longer and prolonged than a waking orgasm is actually happening longer, and not just dreamed or perceived. And this triple length doesn't include the early ejaculations that began at 1:26, and the last trailing ejaculation which happened at 4:43. Including that full range of time where there were actual ejaculations happening, the WD lasted an amazing 3 minutes and 17 seconds! Although I suspect the feelings of orgasm were only around the main ejaculation event with the contractions. Still, a 34 second long orgasm is much longer than you can ever experience while awake!!!

- The contractions and the flow of semen were very different from waking orgasm contractions. The contractions in the WD were almost random in their duration from the beginning to the end. This differs from a waking orgasm in which the first contractions happen fast, with the largest amount of semen being pumped out near the start, and as the orgasm continues, the duration and frequency of the contractions decreases, along with smaller flows of semen. For example, I've timed my waking orgasm contractions from MB, and it starts at 2 contractions per second (each contraction lasting a half a second) at the beginning of the orgasm, and gradually decreases to 0.7 contractions per second by the end of the orgasm. In Jamie's WD video, the initial contractions that coincide with the first large spurts of semen last a little over a second each, for the first few, then the frequency increases rapidly to about 2 per second for about the next 10 contractions, then the frequency suddenly slows down with very prolonged contractions for the last 5 or so, with each prolonged contraction having a steady flow of large amounts of semen. In fact, there is a very long contraction with a steady flow of semen that lasts a whopping full 5 seconds that starts at 3:43, and this is followed by ANOTHER even longer contraction with a steady flow of semen that lasts a full 6 seconds that starts at 3:52, which is the last contraction, and apparently the end of the orgasm.

- The contractions stop and the ejaculation from the main WD event appears to end, but then there is another steady flow of semen much later that starts at 4:42, nearly a full minute after the end of the main ejaculation. This may just be residual semen leaving the urethra that was from the main ejaculation though, as I didn't notice any contraction associated with it.


Anyone else notice anything interesting that I missed?

Jamie, thanks for all the hard work you did to capture the WD on video. This may the only publically available video of a WD. (I wonder if other frequent WDers who love their WD's have also captured videos of their WD's in this day and age of easliy recorded videos).

If you are willing, you might try posting it on YouTube. You could use a new ID only for that purpose. I'm sure that there would be negative comments among the positive ones, but it might encourage others to post videos of their WD's, or even try to make their own. If it doesn't work out, you can always delete it and the account.

Thank you, Focus, for your careful and detailed analysis. This is only a sample of one WD from one person, but we can probably generalize because it does explain the subjective observations of many people who experience WD's. The orgasm does indeed last longer in a WD -- a lot longer -- than it does in MB. More semen does indeed come out. Together, these two observations give strong physical evidence that supports the insistence by many that the orgasms in a WD are not only longer lasting, they are also more intense.

We can draw some conclusions from this video:

-A WD is simply not the same as MB, it is a different process. It has a different timetable.
-More semen is ejaculated in a WD than MB. This implies that some semen is retained and not ejaculated during MB.
-The longer orgasm in a WD suggests that the orgasm in MB is also comparatively cut short.
-Not directly from the video, but nevertheless by now a firm observation, is that another big difference between a WD and MB is that a WD leaves you turned on while MB leaves a letdown. This also supports the idea that WD's and MB are radically different.
-People who describe their WD's as feeling better than MB, having longer and more intense orgasms than MB, and ejaculating more semen than MB are accurate and correct based on this video.

For those who want to cut back or quit MB to get WD's, this video might help motivate a guy to go for it. It can help them realize that:

-It is absolutely impossible for MB to ever match a WD. You can never, ever get the intensity and experience of a WD by MB.
-MB will always give a shorter and less intense orgasm than a WD. MB will always result in less semen than otherwise would have come out in a proper WD. MB will always give a letdown that WD's never do.
-WD's are a natural function that MB inhibits but can never duplicate.

All of this might help a guy start to see MB as inadequate and as impossible to give a truly good experience. If you want your body to go through the process of a WD, if you want the dream and long intense orgasms that go with it, if you want large amounts of semen to come out like that, if you want to wake up wet, happy, and excited with a smile on your face, if you want to happily think about your WD during the day, if you want to look forward to your next WD and many more after that, MB simply doesn't hack it.

You guys are really putting me under a microscope. I didnt look at it that carefully myself with all those specific timings. I could have told you there were over 10 contractions because in my dream the surge/flow or urine in my dream repeats that many times too and if it didnt match a wet dream contraction then what else would? I guess I really dont know what normal is then.

As for youtube, I dont think I want it on there. This is just for people who come in here to see it because they are that interested. Less people will understand out there and probably kids younger than 13 will see it and that is not what I want. So please respect my wishes. I still think the first wet spot is just precum. A couple times I woke up before a wet dream and noticed a smaller wet spot that I figured was precum.

I've really thought about this video, and had some theories.

The first regards the amount of semen emission:
I do believe that when awake, manually masturbating, your muscles are tensed. When dreaming, you are not conscious about your muscles and they are relaxed, thus more semen can flow out.

The second regarding the friction:
This movie clearly shows that prior to the actual orgasm, the penis pulsates and vibrates for a good 2 minutes. I do believe that the friction encourages the orgasm, what you feel in your wet dream that makes you ejaculate is basically your penis frictioning against your underwear or bed-sheets. I have to say though, when awake, place your palm directly over your penis head, and move it around - the feeling I get is exactly the feeling of peeing, which once again implies that what you feel in the wet dream which induces the ejaculaiton is friction against SOMETHING.

I thus still retain my prejudice: underwear have affect on your ejaculation during a dream.
Let's not forget PlainMustang that usually sleeps naked. He could be frictioning against the sheets.

Contractions:
The thing so pleasurable about orgasm is not actually the ejaculation of semen, but the cotractions of the muscles. You've had some powerfull contractions for about three minutes - what a heaven!

Overall:
This is a world premiere. I will start recording myself (from now on), hopefully achieving the same results. I encourage others to do the same.

In fact I agree with him in the fact after viewing the video I got the impression that the penis was somehow in it's attempts to erect fully started to rub against the underwear and I feel that this could have also contributed to both the latter and earliest stages of the nocturnal emission. Though I have to say in general I think that the possibility here is that there are two triggers that happen at the same time for the event to take place.

First is mental because of the nocturnal erectile tumesence and the second being the physical and the physical contact between the penis and it's immediate surroundings.

Wow, Jamie -- that's amazing! Thanks for all the hard work and hours you put in. The most interesting thing to me ws like others have said, just how long the whole think lasted for! Maybe that's one reason why orgasms in WDs ofter feel better than MB--they (at least sometimes) last longer! It will be cool to see, if anyone else is able to capture one, if that holds true for them, too. And also it's interesting, that even though it went on forever, it still came out strong enough to shoot out through his shorts. Ha ha, that was pretty cool

It also suggests to me that having a WD is definitely a way for your body to clean itself out and keep everything healthy. Jamie, do not feel like a "freak" for creating this video - you're not a freak at all. You're a pioneer and a hero, at least among this forum. I know you may feel alone in this frontier, because it has never been done before, which also means you are the only person who has done it so far. That doesn't mean there aren't others who wish they could capture their own WD's on video too - it just means you were successful in doing so, while others have not been. So you should feel a special sense of accomplishment and pride in your success of capturing a WD on video - not like "freak". OK?

As you said, hopefully your video will inspire others to try and capture their WD's on video too, and perhaps in the near future we can compare different WD's from different people, and see if they are mostly the same, or completely different. In that regard, could you please post kind of a "how-to" tutorial here or in a new thread, that explains how you were able to capture this WD on video. Such as computer software used, camera used, camera angle and positioning, camera settings, lighting, timing within your typical WD cycle, etc. I think a lot of people don't know what to use to do this, and I know you went through a learning experience before getting this very successful video.

I had a few questions about your WD video that maybe you could answer if you have time:

1 - How long had it been since you last ejaculated (either through MB or WD)?

2 - How often do you normally get WD's if you don't MB?

3 - What time did this WD occur, and how long had you been asleep for when it happened?

4 - Do you remember the dream? If so, does what you remember coincide with what was happening in the video?

5 - Did you wake up right after the WD, or did you stay asleep a while longer?

6 - Could you tell from the rest of the video before this (I assume you filmed the whole night sleeping?), how long you were erect for before the WD happened? It looks like you were already mostly erect when this video starts. I'm trying to figure out if WD's happen shortly after an erection, or after a long time being erect. I've noticed when recording myself sleeping, some of my nocturnal erections last a very long time, with at least 45 minutes common, and some lasting over an hour. I also get erections during the night that last much shorter in duration, like 5 minutes or so. It looked like in your first time lapse photo set before this video in the other WD, you started out flaccid, got erect, and the WD happened within a minute or two after getting erect. I was wondering if this video WD was the same situation or not.
