OK, you know you are curious... what is the average size "equipment" of the typical WD Forum user? How do we compare to the rest of the world? (DO I think there's a correlation between penis size and getting WDs--no, I just thought it would be interesting!)

OK, first some ground rules:

Measure your erect penis, straight out from your body (if you can), from the tip of your boy to your pubic bone (where your penis meets your body). You can use a ruler it your manhood is straight, but a tape measure works best bec it is flexible and so it can curve to your body for a more accurate measurement.

NO cheating! Don't measure up, just because it makes you feel better. We are looking for accuracy here, not boasting. SO, if you are between two sizes, go w/the one that you are closer to, not the one that you WANT to be, ha ha. To help, we will be using centimeters, because they are smaller than inches. If you don't have a metric ruler/tape measure and need help, just type in "inches to cm" on a google search, and you can easily find a measurement converter. Just type in the inches (be sure to convert the inch fractions to decimals--ie, If it's 5 2/3" long, type in 5.75, if its 6 and 1/4, type in 6.25, if its 6 and 1/2 inches, type in 6.5, you get the idea... then convert that # to centimeters.)

Also, sorry, but if you are under 17, please don't respond unless you think your boy is pretty much full grown. Otherwise, it will skew the numbers lower than they would be for those who are adult size. Don't worry, you're probably still growing!

You can comment if you want to, but the poll itself is anonymous in hopes that more guys will enter it. Again, please be honest and accurate! I think this will actually serve to comfort a lot of guys... And PLEASE don't hesitate to post if you think you are unusually large or small! We want accuracy, and since the poll is anonymous, no one will know who it is. If you are 4 in long, we want to know; if you are 9", same thing. Plus, you're probably not as bad off as you may think you are!

5-13/16" (14.8 cm), give or take a sixteenth. Frankly I've never been worried about my equipment size. God thought this one was good enough for me, so I agree.

OK.. I need to go and buy a ruler. I'll get back to you.

Perhaps we need a new profile field Focus.

I would only include that field in the profile if we thought there was a correlation between size and WD frequency. I don't think there is one, but maybe that could be another poll to see if there is.

what correlation with wetdream does the volume of precum have. and the amount of time it takes you to masturbate?

The amount of precum can be a component of semen, so it is possible that someone who precums a lot could also get many WD's. So far, that seems not the case, but before we knew this, it was a possibility.

The time it takes you to reach ejaculation is relevant to WD's, as it is possible that those who reach ejaculation quickly, and have a quick/low point of no return of orgasm would also get WD's more easily and often (i.e. even the slightest stimulation from a dream, or the penis touching the sheets or underwear could put the guy over the edge and lead to an ejaculation in his sleep). I never sat down and analyzed the data, but there could be a correlation here, and I wouldn't be surprised if there is.

Yeah, I doubt that the first thing people want you to read about them is the size of their wang! I agree w/Focus, it has nothing to do w/WD frequency, so there's no sense in putting that info on one's profile summary. I just thought this would be a fun and interesting poll, related only because it is still sexuality-related, and most of us are guys here and we all probably wonder about this from time to time. This poll is intentionally anonymous, in hopes that more people would vote, to get a more accurate sample. If people want to share their personal data, they are welcome to here in the replies, or in a place like the "Long Survey" thread, or wherever else they feel is appropriate, but due to its potentially sensitive nature, I don't think it should be presented in a way that it is "expected" that you answer in a non-anonymous way.

I don't think there's any correlation between size and wet dreams. But having said that, I don't care who knows my size. I'm what you call completely average: about 3 inches soft, and 6 inches (or slightly less) hard.

Not quite. The stereotype has been proven wrong tons of times before.
I'm 5'6" I wear a size 10 in Converse which is like size 10 which is like a 13 1/2 in Vans. (average size)

Yeah, I'm similar--now, I'm nowhere as big as you, but I am 7" long downstairs, so about 17.75cm, which is bigger than average, and fairly thick. YET I'm only 5'8" tall, I have small hands and, here's the clincher--I wear SIZE 7 shoes (American)--so really small feet for a guy. (I hate shoe shopping--a lot of stores don't carry guy's shoes under size 8.) People probably think I have a really small dingy bec of my tiny feet, haha.

So, yes, we are proof that those body proportion stereotypes aren't always true!

22.5 cm = 9 in... length
16.5 cm = 6.5in girth
about 5' 11" or 177.8 cm. tall I have not hit my growth spurt at all... most of my uncles are like 6' 5"+ on both sides.
and size 14- 15 US in vans, 11- 13 in slimmer shoes...

I've not voted in these polls.. they're pointless. I measured my penis some time ago, it was ...... cms long. No it's not small, it's bigger than average, but this is really childish. This sort of poll belongs on a puberty forum, full of insecure boys making posts about their penis size. Does penis size or width really make any difference to WD frequency? No.

I'm not voting on this as I'm nowhere hear finished devleoping yet, but I don't think that penis size has anything to do swith how often you get wet dreams. I'm 3" soft and 4" (10cm) hard just now, but I'm sure I'll get bigger as I get older!

I'm still growing and most likely haven't finished puberty yet but I voted. Mines 12.5 cm long stiff and 4cm soft.

I sleep in boxers alot of the time and notice when I wake up the thing pointing out the fly. Since I sleep on my belly I'm sure a size large enough to poke out the fly will allow for more felling rubbing the sheets as you sleep.

Just my thought thats all.

I just heard this today on the Discovery Health Channel:

“According to the Kinsey sex survey, the average length of an erect penis is 6.0 inches. The mean girth is 4.9 inches.”

The metric equivalent of this is approximately 15.24 cm for length, and 12.45 cm for girth.

As of today, in the WDF survey, the greatest number of votes in the length poll is 11 at 15-16 cm; while the greatest number of votes in the girth poll is 7 at 14-14.5 cm.

So the Kinsey survey agrees with the WDF survey on length but not on girth.

Although keep in mind, Kinsey's numbers are self-reported numbers. In other words, he told guys to measure themselves then let him know. In actuality, the sizes were probably a little smaller than what was reported--after all, I know guys who measure from the underside and that almost always gives a larger number.

Yeah, I've heard that before abt the underside measurement being longer but I don't understand it. Wouldn't one's balls get in the way and make for a shorter measurement than on the top? Or do people cheat and push them out of the way?

I deleted this myself. Will try elsewhere to find some help with question. Meanwhile, I've read lots of the hints about how to stop masturbating and I'll try them. I don't think I'll come back until I've made some progress....willpower weak!

I'm 17.1cm (6.75in) long.

The last time I measured myself, I was around 6", but just now I took a string so that I could curve it to fit, and I came up with 17.5cm, which is about 6 7/8". Wow. I want to measure again to make sure I got an accurate measurement, but that's pretty sweet if I grew that much or the curving made a difference and I had been fooling myself.

Can I take my vote back? I am under 17
