This has happened to other guys. Logically, it takes a while for the subconscious to understand the difference between MB and a WD, and to fully grasp that 'MB = absolutely never', and 'WD's = absolutely always'.

This may be a good explanation as to why people have to abstain for a while to get WD's. We know that it's not from being 'full', because it's possible to get two WD's in one night or a WD several nights in a row. Rather, the brain seems to need 'retraining' to get WD's. Perhaps reinforcing the idea that there is a big difference between MB and WD's and that MB is not allowed and WD's are, can help the retraining process.

Yeah, this has happened to me quite a few times in dreams. I also don't have this problem when I'm awake. I wonder if someone has an explanation for this.

Could it be that 'enforced' lack of arousal while awake also keeps you from being so easily aroused while asleep? This may be part of the distinction the brain has to learn between being awake and being asleep.

That makes sense. It possibly could affect the sleep if you constantly resist the arousals during the day. As if the brains adopt the thought of arousal being a bad thing and also resists it in the subconscious. Not that I knew anything about brains, just a thought.

The 'WD-mode switch' in your brain needs to be turned from 'OFF' to 'ON' IMO. As you're aware, if it's been jammed onto 'OFF' for a long time it's difficult to turn it it 'ON.' Once you do though it remains set to 'ON' unless you return to frequent MB or waking orgasms. You need to be completely clear with your unconscious mind that it isn't going to have any more waking orgasms or ejaculations. Don't give it any hint that this is a possibility. This means no edging or MB. No waking orgasm or ejaculation. No touching. No sexual fantasies of waking release. No porn. No sexually simulating images at all. Give your inner self the message that the only option it has for release is via NEs. Do this by cutting off all other possibilities. The switch will then turn 'ON' because it has no other option.

I will try again. I managed to hold off for 21 days in july 2008, my personal record, but no wd. I caved in .... i was too impatient .

Last night I had my 4th WD during these 25 days. I remember some parts of the dream very well, but I only have a slight and distant memory of the orgasm part. Finding the evidence of ejaculation in my sheets, I congratulated myself for having a WD.

Yeah, I've been sleeping nude for a while now. I don't get that pre-sleep erection and horniness anymore so I got no reason to wear boxers to keep it down. No, I would not be sleeping nude if I still MBd. I used to occasionally "sleep" nude just to MB, but after that I always put boxers on. It just doesn't feel good to sleep nude after MBing.
