I'm 17 years old an Ive have never had a wet dream an for religious reasons I've decided 2 stop mb I'm only 3 days into it an already I can see how intense its going to be 2 stop mbing. Is there an average on how long it should take for my age or will take a really long time? All day today I've had this tingleing in my balls is that normal? I'm trying 2 stay busy but I'm scared I'll cave if I jus sit still. I really hope I can have one soon I've never gone more than 2 days without mbing so this is going 2 be a test !!!

I did go 48 days without a WD, but I am 10 years older than you. My guess is you will have a wet dream pretty soon if you stop MB-ing.

48 days is a long time without mbing. If u edge will it make u have a wd quicker?

Welcome to this site. It can be quite a challenge for someone at your age and your MB habit to quit MB, so don’t feel too badly if you slip up at first. Just immediately get back to abstaining and soon you will be going for longer and longer. Of course, if you can quit cold turkey that would bring on WD’s even faster, and you’d feel better sooner about breaking the MB habit.

We don’t know exactly what causes WD’s, but we know it’s not from a ‘full load’ because the body can take care of the surplus by re-absorption and other means. But we know that abstaining from MB is the way to get WD’s if you are not having them now. So it seems that WD’s are an outlet for the brain, and the best way to get the brain to turn to WD’s as an outlet is to stop and forget about the old MB outlet. The consensus here is that edging makes it harder to get WD’s, probably because you keep reminding your brain of MB as an outlet by edging. Also, edging is almost certain to eventually cause you to slip up. So a total hands off policy seems to be best for getting your brain to turn to WD’s, and will also help you not to slip up.

My own theory is that attitude has a lot to do with it. If you can separate orgasm from MB, and see MB as inferior and not worth it, it might make it easier to move on to WD’s. This is based on the observation that guys who never MB’d (or almost never) seem to get WD’s the most frequently. Some non-MBers your age can get a few WD’s per week, and even two in one night at times. But at the same time they have these WD’s, they aren’t having to resist MB, since they never had the MB habit in the first place. So they might go to bed at night really hoping for a WD but have no temptation to MB whatsoever. It seems like their brains are just ‘wired’ differently, and going for that attitude might both help you quit MB and get WD’s.

If you want some motivation, a lot of guys think WD’s feel a lot better than MB. Here’s a young member who quit MB and enjoys his WD’s. He left the site and came back later to give us an update a few months ago:

Im definatley going with the hands off policy from now on. its only day 3 an earlier today I was edging an almost blew my load so I stopped imediatley an went an took a cold shower( that was close) so no touching at all cuz I don't want to start over. all the links were great 2 it looks like I have something really great to look forward 2 in a wd I can't wait!!!!!!

I think it is quite the opposite from reading other threads on this site.

However, I didn't edge during my 48 days of abstaining and I didn't get one WD.... (that's just my case)

I was 19, and it took me 5 days to get my first WD, although I wasn't even 'trying' to get a WD at the time.

I thnk average is about 6 weeks for most guys - probably less for someone your age.

Hey guys this tingleing I feel in my balls is that ok. Cuz its really starting 2 get unconfortable every time I'm just relaxing I can feel it alot ever since yesterday whenever I'm sitting down or standing in one spot 4 to long it comes back.

I experienced the same sensation on the first few days as well. For me, it went away after the first week of abstaining.

I never experienced any tingling in my balls while abstaining - only prostate fluttering. However, I don't think its a problem. It should go away soon.
